Maryfield

August 22, 2013 § 2 Comments

Province, Maryfield is like my second hometown; the place where I went to school, an extension of my home at Fairlight. My Mom helped me hide a stone in Maryfield’s movie theatre last year, and it’s finally been discovered as preparations are made to upgrade to a digital projector. The Friday night movie was a highlight of my childhood experience in that small town and I’m very proud of the community’s determination to keep the theatre alive. Congratulations, Val!

  • Interesting to see the pictures from Maryfield. I think I told you about my husband’s home farm near Fairlight. That is, the Ayers family. You probably went to school with some of the younger ones. I now have correspondence with the UELAC man from Maryfield – Gerry Adair.
I think I’ve got my son interested in your project, as he is also into geocacheing. Charlotte

  • Hi Charlotte,
I did not know any Ayers when I was growing up, but it seems I often meet people with a connection to Maryfield or Fairlight. Thanks for your interest in the project!
    Best,
    Terri
